Microblading is a process that involves using a blade-like tool to create fine pigmented strokes that mimic real eyebrow hair on the outer layers of this skin, this is a form of tattooing that looks natural and flawless.
At Brows by M, we offer a free consultation prior to your appointment in which we give you the details of the treatment and help you decide on your desired brow shape.
Your first session can take anywhere from forty-five minutes to an hour and will include placing a topical anaesthetic on the area. The brow artist will always work conservatively during the initial application to gauge how well the skin absorbs the pigment in preparation for the second application.
Microblading tattoo is semi-permanent unlike the “block tattooing” of yesteryear. It is a procedure worked on the outer layers of the skin. Depending on your skin type, exposure to the sun and active ingredients, your initial colour can fade by 60% in the first two weeks, your brows will gradually fade until your touch-up appointment in four to six weeks.
The treatments lasts anywhere between nine months to two years depending on how well your skin handles the pigment.

Ombre brows:
‘Ombre’ brows refer to a particular technique of eyebrow tattooing. Using the finest tattoo needle, thousands of tiny dots are tattooed into the skin, gradually building up a colour and defined shape. After healing, the result is a soft powder finish. It literally looks like you have softly powdered your brows in.
Ombre powder fill brows use a more traditional tattooing method, with longer lasting results, and works with most skin types, including oily or combination skin. Clients come back for colour boosts closer to the 12-18month mark. The brow is also fuller and more defined and dramatic than with the hairstroke method.
Duration: 1-2 hours
Price: $850 (includes second touch up session).
Combo Brows
Combination eyebrow tattooing, also known as Combo Brows, is a technique that uses a combination of hair like microblading strokes with the manual shading of the tattoo gun to create natural looking eyebrows with a defined arch and tail. This technique results in eyebrows that look more natural at the beginning of the brow where the strokes are etched into the skin and end with a fuller more defined arch and tail as a result of manual shading with the tattoo gun.
Your combination eyebrow tattoo will last approx. 2-3 years however we recommend getting an annual colour refresh to keep your combination eyebrow tattoo defined and fresh all year round.
Duration: 1-2 hours.
Price: $950 (includes second touch up session)
Process:
Before your treatment, you will be asked to complete a consent form and an anaesthetic cream will be used to numb the area to ensure you do not experience any discomfort throughout the procedure. To ensure you get the best result, we recommend booking in a consultation prior to your first treatment so our brow expert can give you the full rundown and have insight of your desired shape.
Numbing cream is continually applied during the procedure for your added comfort. During the eyebrow tattooing procedure, you may feel the contact of the “etching” onto the skin as well as vibrations from the tattoo gun. Also, some clients have experienced the sensation of needing to sneeze during the procedure and our artists are all trained in manoeuvring to accommodate to this reaction.
After care:
Immediately after the procedure, the pigment will be quite dark, and your brows may appear to be slightly swollen. The healing process is roughly around 10 days however the pigment colour will settle for up to 4 weeks. During this healing period it is important to take care with your eyebrows by adhering to the post treatment guidelines provided to you on the day of your treatment. Over the course of the healing process, your eyebrows will gradually get lighter and you can expect to experience some scabbing and cracking. Please note it is important to not pick the scabs as it can affect the finished result.
We recommend avoiding any oils, moisturisers and sun exposure for the first 48 hours after your treatment.
Tattoo Removal
At Brows by M we also offer a treatment called PhiRemoval which is a non-laser tattoo removal technique based on Glycolic Acid.
Because the ingredients used feature high penetration, there is no need to expose the skin to severe laser treatments. This procedure is completely pain-free as the area will be numbed the entire time.
The tattoo extraction formula starts working almost immediately after drawing the original tattoo ink, moving upwardly through the skin. While the skin heals even more unwanted tattoo ink will be drawn out. The scab will start to peel off naturally, extracting the unwanted tattoo ink.
This treatment is perfect for an old eyebrow tattoo that you are not happy with in which we can remove and start the process of a fresh eyebrow tattoo.
We offer a free consultation with our specialist who will assess the area and give you in-depth details of the treatment.
Duration: 1 hour
Price: sessions start from $150
